Common Admission Test or CAT is a Computer based entrance Exam for admissions into management courses in Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) and other Top Business schools of the country. The regulating body/exam authority is the IIM and every year different IIMs conduct the CAT exam on a rotational basis.
Though CAT is considered to be a tough entrance exam, the key to succeeding it, is with time management and learning the tricks and shortcut techniques which help to ace the exam.

Eligibility Criteria for CAT 2017
- IIM has set the minimum eligibility criteria for candidates who appear for CAT 2017.
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification (recognized by HRD Ministry, Government of India) with a minimum of 50%. For candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD category, the minimum score is 45%)
- Candidates appearing for final exams in 2017 are also eligible to take up CAT. But the necessary documents have to be submitted before June 30, 2017.
- IIM has a strict verification process, hence check all the documents carefully before submitting them

- Fill up the information on application form
- Upload the required scanned documents
- Submit the application form

CAT 2017 – Exam Pattern
CAT exam is conducted in an online mode, i.e., computer-based. The duration of CAT 2017 is 3 hours (180 minutes)
A total of 100 questions are asked from 3 sections viz,

- Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension
